Exquisite Corpse Progress

I've been working on some concepts for my piece in the Exquisite Corpse show happening at the Light Grey Art Lab in August. I think I'm going to make this bike punk come to life! Ride on!

Kaycie's first post!

Hey guys!

How's life post-Bootcamp?? Mine is going pretty well, I'm still reeling over how awesome it was. Right now I'm still working diligently on Chapter 1 of my webcomic (which will be released sometime before September... I'll post a link once it's up!) and taking my Illustration for Product Design class at MCAD. In the meantime, I'm doing a little bit of "fun" drawing on the side, and here's my most recent endeavor!

"Make your move, Reindeer Games."

Still riding my "Avengers" fascination, so I drew a dumb little Loki-reindeer for kicks.

I also did my own write-up of Illustration Bootcamp over at my blog (and I said terribly incriminating wonderful things about all of you, of course) if you want to check that out too. :)

And my new portfolio site is here!

Well, that's all I got for now. Keep being awesome, everyone!

two tiny things

hey dudes! I MISS YOU GUYS AND BOOTCAMP EVERSO MUCH. I was all inspired to get things going once it was over, but then life took over and all I managed to do was get a cargo collective account (yay! new website soon!) and make these two little typographic specimens. And I started watching Twin Peaks. Does that count as artistic research?

This is just a mini-card I made for my brother, from  a sharpie, highlighter, white out and black felt tip marker. Work supplies as art supplies ftw!

This is a little concept work for a zine I'm planning out with an awesome lady poet I met via the interwebs.

Are people posting their various websites of interest? I can be found at the following places:
I have a behance but I haven't updated it in ages, so I won't link to it.

How are you guys doing?

Rawr

I really like the lion head illustration i did and it seemed like  a lot of people responded well to it.

Here is a second one.

Really this whole style is a fluke... i was trying to figure out how Meg did her paper texture thing... and this is what i ended up with lol...

Sketchbook

Here's some pages from my sketchbook of some things I've been working on since Sunday. Some letter-work, among other things.. I know Fancy Ray's eye looks a little big and crazy in that one but I think it kind of works.. The other three portraits are of detroit rapper Danny Brown, just trying out some different styles and techniques. If anybody can think of some good source images for jewels and gems that would be MUCH appreciated! Hope everyone is doing well!
